Medication management from the Hollywood medical home
Sleep meds are reviewed for next-day impairment, falls, and whether CBT-I or apnea treatment should come first.
Medication Management for Dania Beach patients
Sleep medication management asks whether the drug is treating insomnia or hiding apnea and alcohol.
Telehealth medication management still requires Florida presence, identity check, and a visit note.

Questions we hear about Medication Management
Can you prescribe if I am traveling?
Only if you are physically in a state where we are licensed — currently Florida telehealth.
Do you work with my therapist?
With consent, yes. Medication does not replace psychotherapy when both are indicated.
Do you prescribe stimulants?
When the evaluation supports ADHD and PDMP/safety checks pass. Not from a questionnaire alone.
Can I refuse a medication?
Always. Informed consent includes the option of no medication.
Where is the office for in-person med checks?
7603 Davie Road Extension, Hollywood, FL 33024 — about 10 minutes from Dania Beach.
What labs do I need?
Depends on the drug: TSH, lithium level, A1c, etc. We will list them in the plan.
How close is your office to Dania Beach?
Extremely close — our Hollywood office is approximately 5-10 minutes from Dania Beach. We're one of the nearest psychiatric practices for Dania Beach residents.
Is the practice large or small?
We're a focused private practice where you work directly with Dr. Chatelier, DNP — not a large clinic. This ensures continuity of care and a strong therapeutic relationship.
10-minute path to the Hollywood office
Dania Beach sits in Broward County. County-level resources (crisis lines, hospital ERs, IOP programs) are discussed during Medication Management when a higher level of care is safer than outpatient titration.
Parking at 7603 Davie Road Extension is on site. Dania Beach patients who drive 10 minutes should plan for weekday 9:00–17:00 hours; Saturday is by appointment only.
Commute noise on I-95 and the Turnpike changes whether an in-office Medication Management visit is realistic this week. Telehealth is used when the clinical exam does not require the office.
A previous clinic used 'med check' as a 6-minute billing event.
How Medication Management is structured
Revisit the original diagnosis if two classes have failed.
Share the plan with the therapist when consent exists.
Set the next visit before the bottle runs out.
If side effects appear, do not wait for the next quarterly slot — tighten follow-up.
Next step
Questions about insurance, labs, or whether Medication Management can be done by video: call (888) 307-2199 before you book so the visit type matches the clinical need.
If Medication Management is the right next step, schedule a 60–90 minute intake with Dr. Dorothy Chatelier, DNP, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC. Same-week telehealth follow-ups are used after the diagnostic visit when clinically appropriate.
