How soon is follow-up?
Often 2–4 weeks after a new medication or a complex formulation; longer when stable.
Is the visit confidential?
HIPAA applies, with the usual safety exceptions (imminent harm, mandated reports).
What does 'affordable' in some URLs mean?
Leftover slugs. We do not market cheap care. We bill insurance when in-network and discuss costs before non-covered labs.
Do you see children?
The practice is primarily adults and older adolescents, considered case-by-case.
Can I use this evaluation for a legal letter?
Only if the interview actually supports the opinion. We do not write unsupported letters.
Do you provide LGBTQ+-affirming psychiatric care?
Yes. We provide competent, affirming psychiatric care for all patients. Our hormone therapy services and psychiatric evaluations are delivered with respect for every patient's identity.
Can you coordinate hormone therapy with psychiatric medication?
Absolutely. This is one of our specialties. We understand the interplay between hormone levels and mood, and manage both under one clinical roof for optimal outcomes.
How Psychiatric Evaluations is structured
Medical review flags thyroid, anemia, cardiac QT risk, pregnancy, and neurologic symptoms that redirect the workup.
Mental status exam is documented: appearance, speech, affect, thought process, insight, cognition, and risk.
After the visit you should be able to repeat the working diagnosis and the next three steps.
